Water is the secret ingredient
Your lawn needs water to get the most out of every treatment. Without it, fertilizer can sit there doing nothing, and in hot, dry weather it can even burn your grass. You've invested in professional lawn care, and we put down the best fertilizer we can buy. We're good, but we're not wizards: regular watering is what turns that into a lawn you'll love. The difference is night and day.
Great lawns take time
If your lawn has never been professionally treated, it usually takes 1–2 years to get it looking its best. You'll see improvement along the way, but building a thick, healthy lawn is a process, not a single visit.
Why we treat your city when we do
To reach every customer efficiently, we schedule our routes city by city, so some cities come first in each round and some come last. We're fortunate to serve a lot of customers, so we can't move individual homes into a different city's schedule as a regular practice. If you have a special situation, give us a call. We can sometimes make a one-time exception.
We can't stop the wind
Weed control treats the weeds in your lawn, but it can't stop new seeds from blowing in from a neighbor's yard or on a windy day. If new weeds sprout between visits, just call us and we'll come out for a spot treatment.
Mowing matters more than you'd think
Your mower has a big effect on your lawn's health and appearance. Mowing services that go from yard to yard can carry lawn fungus from one property to the next on their equipment. If you mow yourself, keep your blades sharp and don't cut too short. Dull blades and low cuts stress your grass.
Weather changes how your lawn looks
The weather before and after a treatment can change how your lawn looks in the short term. Two weeks without rain, or a week of steady rain, will both show up in your grass. Short-term swings like these are normal.
Keep kids and pets off until it's dry
Our technicians are trained and apply every product according to its label. Keep kids and pets off treated areas until the product has dried. After that, enjoy your yard.
Leave the gate unlocked on service day
If your gate is locked, our technician will knock to ask for access. If no one is home, we won't go into your backyard. We'll treat the areas we can reach and note it on your invoice. Leaving the gate unlocked on service day makes sure your whole lawn gets treated.
If something's wrong, tell us right away
Our technicians are skilled, but they're human, and mistakes can happen. If you think something went wrong on your lawn, please call the office as soon as you notice it so we can look into it and make it right. Calling right away helps you, and it helps us keep the same problem from happening on other lawns. If something keeps happening, we want to hear about it the first time, not at the end of the season.
Kindness goes a long way
At certain times of year, the weather sets off the same lawn changes everywhere at once, like weeds popping up or crabgrass breaking through. When that happens, our office can get hundreds of similar calls back to back. We will get to you, and respectful communication helps our team solve your issue faster. We do reserve the right to end service with anyone who is abusive or uses profanity toward our staff.
